Service Manager – Red Houses & Glebe Cottage, Virginia Water
£32,082 per annum + benefits
The Avenues Trust Group, is a specialist provider of adult social care, supporting people with complex needs to enjoy life.
We are looking for a Service Manager to join the teams at our services, Red Houses and Glebe Cottage, in Virginia Water. Both services are supporting adults who have learning disabilities, epilepsy, challenging behaviour and also individuals with physical and mobility issues.
In this role you will motivate and inspire your team of around 18 support workers and 2 assistant service managers, to provide outstanding support through effective training, coaching, and leadership by example. Acting as a role model and leader in the full delivery of active support, you will empower the people we support to have active and fulfilling lives aligned with their needs and aspirations. You will be responsible for staff appraisals, rotas, support plans, managing budgets, and monthly reports.
Due to the nature of the role it is essential for applicants to hold a full valid driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
Skills and Experience
Be a social care professional who is experiences in working with people with learning disabilities
Have a strong understanding of best practice in delivering support to people with different needs and a passion for Person-Centred Active Support
Experience managing registered and supported living services
Knowledge and a good understanding of current CQC/sector regulations and legislation
You will need to demonstrate that you share our values
Able to manage a complex staffing situation
Able to be approachable, motivated and work under pressure
Ideally hold a Level 5 diploma in Health & Social Care or have a willingness to work towards this
Hold a full valid driving license and have access to their own vehicle
Be flexible to work shifts across the week, occasional weekends, late evenings and be a part of an on call rota
