About the role

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Apprentice to join our team to work in across Coleshill, Birmingham.

Role Purpose:

As a Quality Apprentice you will work with direction from the Project Quality Lead conducting Quality Assurance and Quality Control checks right across the business. You will need to proof read facts, prepare reports and help contribute to business improvement all while being part of the team that helps ensure we deliver the best customer satisfaction on Europes biggest construction project.

What you’ll be doing

  • Carrying out Quality Assurance work under supervision of experienced members of the team.
  • Ensuring that work assignments and qualification study work is completed and submitted on time.
  • Participating in review sessions with line managers and emerging talent team as required.
  • Working with others to ensure systems are in place, in conjunction with the
  • Project Manager as appropriate, which allow the required specification to be clearly agreed with customers, customers technical representatives, project, sub-contractor supply chain
  • Working with others to ensure systems are in place to allow sample and benchmark plans to be established and agreed with customer, and sub-contractor supply chain
  • Assisting in developing specific project / task quality plans
  • Working with others to undertake assurance that the Quality Plan is being followed and that requirements are being met
  • Supporting the development of either Project or Business Stream Quality strategies and plans and the implementation of measurement frameworks across the scope of services and full project lifecycle
  • Supporting the Quality team in dealing with external auditing governing bodies to maintain existing certification and continuous improvement
  • Who we’re looking for

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or equivalent
  • A Levels in Science & Engineering disciplines or BTEC equivalent including Engineering
  • A drivers licence (or be working towards one)
