Job Purpose
To provide a friendly, warm and knowledgeable service to all patients, visitors and caregivers. To prepare and maintain the food service areas in an attractive and hygienic manner and to be responsible for accurate use of tills.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Food Service
• Serve all food to the highest standard and in line with the CH&CO/ CCL style using the correct tools and presentation techniques as instructed.
• Prepare and serve all beverages in a timely manner in line with the sites vision.
• To set up service counters for service and keep the service areas clean, tidy and presentable in line with the CH&CO standards.
• Clean and wash up all equipment, kitchen and service areas to comply with cleaning schedules.
• Under the guidance of the GM / AGM ensure that merchandising at service counters and dining areas have products correctly priced, labelled and in date.
• Work with colleagues to maintain food availability during service periods.
• Assist in the cleaning and clearing as required.
Customer Service
• Maintain a professional and friendly image with the client and customers at the relevant site.
• Attend to customer needs in a polite and helpful and friendly manner providing assistance where necessary in line with the CH&CO style.
• Work with all colleagues in a polite and helpful way to ensure excellent customer service
Health & Safety
• To understand and comply with CH&CO and statutory health, hygiene and safety, quality standards including COSHH and HACCP ensuring all tasks are carried out in accordance these standards.
• Wear the correct uniform and safety shoes as directed and maintain uniform items appropriately.
• Report any equipment and/or building fabric faults and any hygiene, health and safety hazard to the GM/ AGM.
Occasional Responsibilities
• Attend training courses and attend CH&CO meetings when necessary.
• To assist with food preparation in kitchen to the CH&CO standard as required
• Assist with stock take as requested.
