Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for Section Foreman to join our team to working at our Sub lot 8 site in Lichfield

Role Purpose:

The Section Foreman will interface with the workforce ensure all operatives are fully inducted/briefed on the Companys Management systems and are fully competent to deliver in a safe manner.

What you’ll be doing

  • Carries out Safety and Environmental tours as required by the project H&S plan
  • Contributes to accident/incident investigations. Directs the appropriate action arising (HFACS and four-page reports)
  • Ensures that sufficient resources are allocated to the Works Section and that each has an appropriate level of ability
  • Implements systems and processes to manage the quality of the constructive works
  • Apply skills and knowledge to assist engineering teams in planning stage programmes
  • Involved in the procurement of subcontractors and advises on commercial aspects/preferred attendance
  • Who we’re looking for

  • Understands Protocol with regard to Accident and Incident investigation
  • Experienced in leading Safety & Environment Tours
  • Experienced in planning shifts in line with EU regs. and section 61
  • Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility.
  • Successful experience at Section / General Foreman
  • Understanding of Engineering principles
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience of a wide range of construction techniques and best practices.
  • Relevant CSCS Card
  • Training in Health & Safety and Environmental management
