Main duties of the job

The post holder will support Service Leads, Service Managers and Operational Managers in the achievement of key operational and strategic objectives for all Childrens Services supporting the CPG in achieving standards set out with a key role in supporting teams to improve access to the service and achieve waiting time targets

This will involve supporting the Deputy Operations Manager with monitoring waiting times, capacity and demand, identifying problem areas and working with the operational management team, Clinical Leads and Service Leads to resolve issues and ensure a coordinated approach to the delivery of services.

The successful candidate will join an established Operational Management team and could be based at either the Wrexham or Flintshire Child Health Centre. 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria

  • GCSE standard in English and Maths Good standard of general / higher education (Certificate Level) Evidence of continuous / ongoing learning Degree level (Management) or equivalent experience

  • Professional Management Qualification Currently pursuing a qualification in NHS Management

  • Extensive experience of staff management Previous experience of managing financial resources Sound knowledge of IT systems/WPAS/Child Health System Knowledge of waiting list management Previous experience in producing written reports
