Main duties of the job

Working closely with clinicians and nursing staff, the post holders will enhance the current team and become experts in their field, leading the clinical pharmacy services for a defined clinical specialty within the Cancer Division, for example chemo/radiation, gynaecological oncology, lung cancers or Acute Oncology. Specialty will be based on previous expertise and interest.

These posts will give you the opportunity to develop your leadership, governance and clinical skills including prescribing.

The pharmacy services are highly regarded within in the Cancer Division and the wider Health Board and are recognised as a key element to any clinical service development. The Pharmacy team is forward thinking; we embrace change and are constantly looking for ways to improve the service. We understand the importance of good team working and have strong links with other professions. The patient is at the centre of all that we do and our strategy is to provide a pharmacy service that has medicines optimisation at its heart.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
