Protocol are currently recruiting with a long-standing provider of education for a temporary Learning Coach in South West London.

Having been around for over 100 years, this client has a wealth of experience and a strong reputation behind it. Recently merged with local institutes to form a successful college group, they have recently been graded by Ofsted as GOOD in June 2016.

Job Purpose/Overview:

  • To support and mentor learners with social, emotional and mental health needs, a disability, learning difficulty or medical condition; and or with ESOL, English and Maths support needs to enable them to successfully complete their qualifications, course and where appropriate, education, health and care plan (EHCP) outcomes.
  • The person & qualifications

  • Experience of working with young people 14-19 years of age from a variety of backgrounds and an understanding of the needs and issues surrounding them and the difficulties students face

  • Able to take guidance and direction from Support managers and academic staff
  • Able to use initiative, organise and prioritise
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Administrative skills sufficient to keep high quality written records of learner progress and set appropriate smart targets based on EHCP outcomes, Agreed support plan and coursework.
