Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will need a range of nursing skills, be childrens nurse trained, and have demonstratable experience, and interest in, working with children with additional needs, with both learning and complex medical needs. 

You will have opportunity for regular peer supervision, safeguarding supervision, and clinical supervision, as well as management supervision.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria

  • NMC Registered Nurse RSCN, Child Branch or equivalent.
  • Post Graduate Diploma Qualification of equivalent level of knowledge experience

  • S.M.A.R.T. pack training

  • Substantial experience working as a Childrens nurse
  • Nursing experience of working with children with complex health care needs

  • Supervise, teach and assess registered and non-registered staff providing mentorship and preceptorship as appropriate
  • Demonstrate appropriate leadership skills alongside the ability to care and communicate with warmth and understanding

    • To work in the UK, all candidates who are not UK or Republic of Ireland (RoI) nationals require sponsorship to obtain either a Health and Care visa or Skilled Worker visa , unless you have permission to work via another route.
