Working with the Senior Revenue Controller to ensure that all billing requirements and deadlines are achieved for the Business Rates Team

What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure all billing requirements and deadlines are achieved for the Business Rates team.
  • Assist with overseeing passthrough costs, POs, SCAs, inter-company journals and aged debt for Business Rates team.
  • Assist with overseeing WIP, forecasting and Mid-Month Flash reporting for Business Rates team.
  • To prepare client invoices in accordance with instructions from Directors/Fee Earners, including sending out invoices for client projects as well as billing for teams in Rating
  • Management of sub consultants’ invoices/processing etc – raising POs and maintaining spread sheets for fee earners – highlighting anything outside of normal trading to the SMAs so it can be forecasted
  • Provide XJ data to Finance for journal of funds from either Legal entity within the division to other areas of the business in a timely manner with all approvals for transfer.
  • Maintaining a SCA (Sub Consultants Agreement) tracker to allow visibility to finance of upcoming transfers/liabilities so that they can be forecast.
  • What we’re looking for:

  • Proven Billing Coordinator experience
  • Ideally have an Accounting qualification (AAT or similar)
  • Good knowledge of Excel (formulae, pivot tables, Vlookups minimum) and working knowledge of other MS packages
  • Experience in operating Work in Progress (WIP)
  • Confidence in liaising with finance team and providing financial support both to the business and the Head of Finance
  • Ability to present on financial matters at senior leadership team meetings, finance team reporting meetings, etc
