Main duties of the job

The post holder will practice under supervision as a tACP to develop a high level of expertise within the specialist service providing advice, education and support to staff, patients, their families and carers. This development will be guided by the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (RCEM) ACP curriculum.

The post holder will be practising under direct or indirect supervision of a Consultant Supervisor within the ED to provide patient-centred clinical care. This will encompass training in the skills of advanced clinical assessment, examination, diagnosis and treatment within an agreed scope of practice throughout the directorate.

The post holder will be required to undertake and complete a programme of education to achieve a Masters level qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent CAT points.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply

Essential criteria

  • Professional Health Care Registration with a UK Regulated Body (NMC /HCPC /GPC)
  • Evidence of Degree Level study / attainment ie : BSc / Degree Level Qualification or equivalent CATS
  • Post Graduate Qualification in specific speciality or equivalent experience
  • Willingness to undertake and complete MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice

  • Advanced Life Support qualification
