We are looking to recruit an ambitious, dynamic Hairdressing teacher to join our existing multi-site and multi-discipline Hairdressing and Beauty Department. You must be a highly skilled and motivated individual whose passion is to inspire students, to excel and achieve the highest standards of employability skills. Successful applicants will be required to teach L1, L2 and L3 Hairdressing.

Creative Hairdressing would be desirable to support the delivery of the Media Make-up programme and barbering.

You will be required to carry out learning and assessment activities, develop and enhance the existing curriculum to meet industry requirements, whilst ensuring your Teaching and Learning is consistently delivered to the highest standard. Our primary focus is towards the successful applicant having had current industrial experience within the field of hairdressing. You will need to hold a relevant advanced professional qualification (Level 3 or equivalent) in Hairdressing and show positive CPD in your fie!

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver levels 1, 2 & 3 Hairdressing.
  • Preparing interactive and engaging lessons.
  • Identifying and analysing student needs.
  • Demonstrating and overseeing practical lessons.
  • Setting and grading assessments.
  • The Person & Qualifications:

  • Has previously worked in industry.
  • Has previous teaching experience delivering Beauty Therapy, or a related subject area.
  • Holds a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Holds the ability to engage, motivate and inspire learners.
