To support the critical work we are doing around health, safety and compliance we are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our Building Safety and Compliance Team.

You will be a key member of this team, with the primary focus being on fire safety, responsible for carrying out a number of building safety related activities, such as weekly testing of fire alarms, monthly testing of emergency lighting, general site inspections, fire door inspections, management of fire actions via a cloud-based system and other property related compliance duties.

A typical day would include pre-arranged visits to a number of blocks/schemes to complete regular inspections/tests within the common areas, post inspections and audits of completed works and resolving technical queries.

You will provide a key role for GreenSquareAccord Limited in ensuring our residents are kept safe and the organisation remains compliant. You will be a key point of contact for communicating directly with our customers to resolve issues and share safety information.

About you

For this role, it is essential that you have the ability to drive and hold a full UK driving licence.

You must have a Higher National Certificate/Diploma in Building Studies or equivalent qualification. Membership of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers or an equivalent membership body would be beneficial.

You will have experience of working with and knowledge of the Regulatory Reform Order (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and have the ability to effectively deliver a programme of compliance inspections.

Extensive experience of coordinating the swift completion of any recommendations and actions arising from FRAs is essential, ensuring records and audit trails are maintained/updated to evidence achievement and compliance.

You will be able to manage your own workloads, plan ahead, monitor progress and achieve deadlines, agreed outputs and outcomes while maintaining the ability to effectively deal with complex and sensitive fire and wider compliance issues.
