Graham ward is a 24 bedded acute and rehabilitation Stroke unit.

Working Hours: Full Time – 37.5 per week 

Main duties of the job

As a qualified Staff Nurse you will need the ability to manage your own caseload.

The post holder will ensure that patients receive the necessary care and treatment to enable progress in accordance with the National Clinical Guidelines for Stroke and the National Service Framework. This will be achieved through the application of specialist knowledge, skills andpractice.

Essential criteria

  • Registered Nurse (or about to qualify)
  • Skills/Abilities

    Essential criteria

  • The ability to assess patients; develop, implement and evaluate a plan of care.
  • The ability to communicate effectively.
  • Experience

    Essential criteria

  • Experience of working within a hospital setting (this can be gained through student placement)
  • Desirable criteria

  • Post registration experience within an stroke setting
  • Knowledge

  • Knowledge/understanding of confidentiality issues
