The Role:

The Children’s Services Workforce Development service exists to provide a single focus for workforce development policy and activities across all branches of the Children’s Services Department (CSD) and manages the delivery of the administrative functions in support of the Hampshire Teaching and Leadership College (HTLC).

The Workforce Development Support Officer performs a wide range of project support tasks as directed by the Workforce Development Manager, they will be creative, accurate and able to take responsibility for their own work allocation. No day will be the same and there will be opportunities to work alongside senior colleagues from the Workforce Development Team and from across Children’s Services.

The Workforce Development Team (WDT) sets and implements the departmental Workforce Development Strategy and both delivers and coordinates a range of learning and development (L&D) activities provided through in-house staff; external providers; front-line staff; and corporate L&D resources such as Hampshire Workforce Development.
