We have an opportunity for a permanent Underwriting Assistant to join our Reinsurance department. You will report into the Departmental Manager and will be responsible for the day to day administrative assistance to the Reinsurance team and ensuring that the Reinsurance Team has the necessary underwriter support to allow for efficient broker and business servicing from all hubs whether that be the office, Lloyd’s Box, home and to ensure the smooth running of the team.
This role includes responsibilities such as supporting the Department Head and the Team with all pre underwriting activities, including liaison with the Exposure Management Team, creation of detailed analysis to assist with pricing of risks, establish and develop relationships with Brokers. and run reports and policy enquiries in core Tokio Marine Kiln systems. The role will also involve tracking and where appropriate, respond to Broker queries and maintaining and keeping up to date the placement monitoring spreadsheets.
The successful candidate will demonstrate competence and knowledge of electronic underwriting systems and must be a team player, take ownership where requires and have a good attention to detail.
