We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Functional Skills Maths specialist to join our Family and Community Education Service (FACES). You will be supporting learners to overcome barriers to learning, encourage their progression, develop mathematical skills from a basic level leading to achievement of Maths qualifications up to Level 2. You will also work with other tutors across different curriculum to embed the importance of maths and functionality to develop key employability skills.

We are looking for an innovative, self-motivated individual who can inspire and encourage adult learners to engage in learning, and to achieve accredited qualifications in a community setting in and around Sheffield.

Candidates will have a teaching qualification, a specialism to teach maths, or working towards, within an adult learning setting. You will be able to develop online learning and be able to deliver using learner friendly platforms such as Google Classroom and Zoom, as well as working across different sites across Sheffield. An ability to demonstrate an excellent track record of high teaching standards in a community environment would be an advantage.
