What is the job about?

The Team Assistant Manager role is responsible for the day to day supervision of the Provider Referrals and Payments (PRaP) team and ensures the efficient processing of referrals and claims through DWP’s PRaP system. As team supervisor, the Claims Team Leader will prioritise the workload of the Claims Executives to ensure all transactions are processed in a timely and accurate fashion. They will also be the main point of contact for DWP’s PRaP Operational Support Team ensuring this relationship is maintained to a high standard.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in dealing with high volumes of data with excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrable experience of supervising a small transactional team
  • A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma.
  • GCSE English Language at a minimum of a Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification). OR achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview stage.

  • Desirable Attainments

  • Previous experience in a transactional finance or administrative role
  • Demonstrable experience in a customer focused role
  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management, directly managing up to 10 co-members, including ongoing staff development and coaching.
  • Swift processing of referrals to our PRaP administered contracts.
  • Accurate transfer of data relating to customer activity from Orion or other systems into PRaP to enable contract performance to be recorded and payments to be generated
