Support Worker
Waking Nights

Hours – 3- 4 nights available 10pm -7am

Discovery is looking for caring Waking Night Support Workers in Yeovil to support 3 individuals throughout the night at Grove Avenue. The role will include ensuring the people you support are provided with the appropriate support required in line their risk assessments and support plans, whilst also carrying out a number of key allocated tasks.

There are two gentleman and one lady who live at Grove Avenue, the two gentlemen enjoy their evening routine of a nice hot chocolate and some TV before choosing to go to bed. The lady requires support to recognise it is night time, as she is registered blind. She often likes to sit with night staff having a milkshake and watching TV at different time during the night, and will require emotional support during the night.

Thorough induction and shadowing will be provide.

The role will involve:

  • Checking the people we support at regular intervals to ensure they are comfortable
  • Provide personal care when required.
  • Conduct housework, including cleaning and laundry and record
  • You will keep written records, using IT systems to record daily notes, and be confident using our system’s to record incidents
  • Ensure the premises is secure and safe during the night
