Support Worker Vacancies – South Lakes
Are you hardworking, flexible, and friendly?
Are you looking for a challenging, rewarding, and varied role?
It takes someone special to work in care – do you have what it takes?
We have opportunities for kind, compassionate and flexible people to join our South Lakes homes as Support Workers, providing support and care to older adults during this challenging time. This is an opportunity to make a direct and positive impact to the lives of our residents, while beginning a rewarding career in care with Cumbria Care.
As a Support Worker, you will have an incredibly important role in our home; one where you will get to know our residents individually and support their wellbeing through physical and emotional care. Other duties include assisting with medication, providing personal care, and encouraging our residents to achieve a certain level of independence through activities and guidance.
Previous experience is not required, but we are looking for genuinely caring and dedicated individuals, who have a willingness to learn and an understanding of what is needed to care for someone. You will be joining friendly, hardworking teams, who always strive to ensure an environment of safety and respect.
Joining our teams and working as a part of the Cumbria Care service, offers many opportunities for candidates, and we pride ourselves in the training and development we offer employees and how we can support you on your career pathway. For the right candidates, we can initially support you through gaining an NVQ Level 2 in Health and Care.
We offer full training and support to make sure you are confident and ready to provide great support to our residents. All our homes have full PPE available for staff and full training to ensure you know how to use it to keep you safe. You will also have the option to be tested regularly for Covid-19 alongside all staff members to protect staff and residents.
We have various hours available and opportunities across Kendal, Windermere, Kirkby Stephen, and Milnthorpe. If you are friendly and like working as part of a large team, we can offer you a rewarding opportunity in Cumbria Care.
To apply to join our service, please complete the attached application form (press the ‘Apply Now’ button). If shortlisted, we will contact you directly and you will be invited to a virtual interview with Registered Managers from our homes.
For an informal discussion with one of our Registered Managers, please contact Resourcing@Cumbria.gov.uk and we can arrange this for you.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and if successful at interview, a DBS Enhanced Check with Adults Barred List will be processed.
