Support Worker

Discovery are looking for passionate and caring Support Workers on either a full or part time basis to join our community team in Taunton. The position is lone working however you would be part of a dedicated small team who support 3 lovely ladies in their own homes.

Your day is likely to involve some basic personal care in the morning (for one of the ladies) followed by meal preparation, shopping, supporting to medical appointments and doing activities that each of them enjoys. This includes going to visit family, going to the disco, swimming, out for breakfast and promoting active support.

I am looking for someone who is highly motivated and passionate to really support these ladies to remain independent and live their lives to the highest quality and build meaningful relationships with each of them.

A mixture of day time hours and sleep ins are available as you will work with all 3 ladies we support however as an example, they could look similar to the below:

10am-4pm or 6pm

5pm or 10pm start and a sleep in until 8am or 1pm the next day
