We’re all here to make a positive difference to adults with learning disabilities and/or autism in Somerset. Here at Discovery we are looking for dedicated individuals to join our Support Worker team in Frome working across 2 services.

About the role:

  • 2- 4 waking nights available per week.
  • £10.30 for waking nights (base rate of £9.36 with a 10% enhancement for nights).
  • 30 days annual leave pro-rata (including bank holidays).
  • Supported ‘Learn to Drive’ scheme (up to 30 driving lessons, 1 theory/practical test – all paid for by us).
  • A 24 Hour Employee Assistance Programme for you and your family members.
  • Long Service Awards, Life Assurance and Pension scheme.
  • Great Induction and training opportunities including the Care Certificate, and Diploma in Health & Social Care.

The nights will either cover two services or be split for two candidates with one in each service. The services both have a range of learning disabilities with other health issues. You will be required to lone work over night, supporting individuals should they require it with personal care, eating & drinking, bathing or general concerns as well as taking pride and joy in cleaning and tidying someone's home. This role is perfect for those caring, individuals who may need flexibility to work nights or who want a change in their work/life balance.
