Female Support Worker
£8.91 per hour
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Are you a kind and compassionate person who wants to support others to achieve their goals? Have you considered embarking on a meaningful new career as a Support Worker? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity available that we think you may be interested in.
We are currently supporting a lady in her 60s who has a profound learning disability. Her team is growing and we’re seeking a friendly and positive person to join us on a full-time basis, working 37.5 hours per week.
Your role is to support this fabulous lady to achieve her goals, which include engaging in the activities she enjoys. She loves going to the cinema and the theatre and she enjoys days out shopping and getting involved in a range of group activities.
Your role will be to support her to live the life she chooses. On a day-to-day basis you will be providing support with full personal care, meal preparation, feeding, medication administration, grocery shopping and household tasks including cooking, cleaning and laundry. This lady is a wheelchair user and she has a hoist installed in her house so there are aspects of moving and handling involved in this role. You will receive full training so prior experience is not required.
Shifts start at 9am one day and finish at 9am the following day with a sleep-in shift included. We’re looking for people who can work flexibly on a rota that includes weekdays, weekends and a share of bank holidays. At Dimensions, we value a healthy work / life balance and as such, you will receive your rota 4 weeks in advance.
There is designated parking for staff cars outside this lady’s house and she’s lives close to good public transport links.
For further information about the role, please contact Gillian on 07940 267 775.
