The Role

Band 5 Neonatal Intensive Care Staff Nurse

The Homerton is home to one of the largest neonatal centres for medical intensive care in London. We have 46 cots, with 16 ITU and 8 HD to support the smallest and sickest babies in our local area and in the neonatal operational delivery network. We undertake complex medical care which includes total body cooling, HFOV with Nitric and also laser ROP surgery for local and network babies. We also have one of the highest proportions of low birth weight babies in the country and some of the rarest cases.

Good outcomes for all our patients is our key aim and supporting all babies who come into our unit to achieve their full potential is our priority, along with facilitation of the family within a complex ITU setting and family centred care approach.

We are looking for registered nurses or newly qualified nurses with or without experience in neonatal or newborn care who have the desire to progress and develop their career in neonatal nursing. We have an established Qualification in Speciality (QIS) training pathway and you will receive support from our experienced practice development nursing team who will help you succeed in the next step of your nursing career.
