Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2022 with the potential to be extended if funding is granted

We are seeking a talented senior researcher to join the Institute for Community Research and Development to work with the West Midlands Violence reduction Unit.

We welcome applications from excellent candidates who can contribute to our successful Institute and its ambitious plans. To be considered for this Senior Research Fellow post you will be an experienced researcher who is passionate about violence reduction and prevention. You should have experience of undertaking and supervising research as part of a team and able to demonstrate your awareness of evidence-based interventions and the public health approach to preventing and reducing violence.

You will be required to work independently and oversee two Research Associates to undertake mixed-methods impact and process evaluations of locally funded interventions, as well as developing frameworks for future economic evaluation. In addition, you will also be involved in delivering a series of rapid evidence reviews on priority topics.

You will have experience of applied research, including impact and process evaluations, with relevant and appropriate research methodologies. You will have strong quantitative research skills, experienced of mixed-methods approaches, and skills spanning all stages of the research-project cycle, from bid writing, project design, evidence review, data collection and analysis, to reporting and disseminating. You will be experienced and confident in presenting findings to a range of audiences.
