About the opportunity:
We are recruiting a Power Systems Engineer to strengthen our Power and Energy team, working with our clients to help shape the power systems of the future, managing the challenges presented by the rapid decarbonisation of electricity. The candidate needs to be strong technically and can utilise their skills to drive growth in our business and our people.
We have design teams based at offices in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff and Exeter, however we require the flexibility to work across all our offices and client locations.
The successful person will become part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities.
Working closely with a team of experienced designers and project managers, you will provide power systems planning, modelling, analysis and advice to help clients in the power generation, transmission, distribution and industrial HV sectors. This will include the impact of wind farms, HVDC interconnectors and ancillary service developments such as inertia.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
You need to enjoy working in a team environment and where necessary using your expertise to guide other members of staff. You’ll also require the ability to lead bid preparation, deliver to tight timescales, be technically accurate and to manage several schemes simultaneously. Strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent quantitative and problem-solving skills are essential as part of this role.
