About the opportunity:
We wish to recruit enthusiastic scientists to join our Radioactive Waste Management Consultancy Team. The successful candidates will focus on modelling work to support fundamental understanding of performance challenges for radioactive waste and/or the clear communication of such work in the support of safety arguments. This may include the need to liaise with stakeholders and records holders to ensure that appropriate evidence is available to support safety arguments. The post offers the opportunity to apply skills to solving real world problems for our customers, and supporting them with the communication of this knowledge. The vacancy provides an excellent opportunity for those wishing to develop their careers in our technically and commercially challenging business. The work is part of a wider programme within decommissioning and waste management and candidates should expert to provide support and insight to a range of diverse projects.

Work on a range of consultancy projects for customers including radioactive waste producers, radioactive waste management organisations and regulators, both in the UK and overseas. Work could be to support a variety of activities where safety justifications are underpinned by modelling/analysis and accompanying expertise of safety justifications in highly regulated environments.
