Job Details:

We are seeking a senior facilitator to join one of our onsite residences in Ullenwood, on the outskirts of Cheltenham. Working as part of the management team you will support the effective running of a residential area. . 

National Star is a national charity that works predominantly with 16-25 year olds with a wide range of complex disabilities, rated Outstanding by OFSTED in 2017 & Outstanding by CQC (Care Quality Commission) in 2018. At our core is the delivery of a number of specialist educational programmes ranging from broad life-skills to employment skills. These programmes are a mix of residential & day provision that are delivered currently across our locations in Ullenwood (nr Cheltenham), central Cheltenham, Gloucester, Hereford, Malvern and in Mamhilad, South Wales.

This role will include leading a team of facilitators to provide a high standard of individualised care and promoting and encouraging learners’ personal development. You will be able to work on your own initiative and have good people skills, and be able to plan and organise effectively. You will have at least 2 years care experience, ideally with people with a learning and/or physical disability. You will also have a Level 3 in health or social care, or a Level 2 and are willing to obtain a level 3 qualification on appointment. The post requires shift work, with early shifts starting at 7am and late shifts ending at 10 and 11pm with alternating weekend working.
