Do you have a passion for supporting and engaging with pupils?

We require a dedicated and resilient Social and Emotional Needs Teaching Assistant to join our enthusiastic team supporting our commitment to changing the life chances of our pupils.

Your role will primarily be to assist in promoting the learning and personal development of the pupils to whom you are assigned, to enable them to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is able to teach and deliver Intervention Programmes for SEN pupils in groups, 1:1, or within a class setting
  • Is able to aid pupils to learn as effectively as possible both in group situations and on his/her own
  • Is able to organise and plan sessions such as social skills and fine and gross motor groups
  • Has the ability to build strong positive relationships with pupils

The Baird Primary Academy is a school for 4 to 11-year olds in Hasting, East Sussex. We focus on developing our pupils love of learning so they can ‘fly high’. In 2019 we were presented with the Marjorie Boxall Quality Mark Award for our outstanding nurturing environment and inclusive provision. Our creative curriculum engages pupils with personalised learning and practical experiences. We have two classes in each year group welcoming children from our local community. We also hosts a nursery for children aged from 3 years.
