We have a vacancy for a Security Operations Cyber Configuration analyst who will be responsible for managing the Sellafield Cyber Security Operational tooling. The role will be based at our Risley office.

On a day to day basis the role involves:

• Manage, configure and implement signatures, rules, models, artefacts, user accounts, subnets, policies and detections across all cyber security tooling (IT / Cloud / OT) whilst aligning to change management processes.
• Implement protections / detections into all cyber security tooling from cyber security intelligence from feeds, forums, private / public information.
• Ongoing cyber security tooling false positives reduction and remediation across all cyber security tooling (IT / Cloud / OT).
• Cyber Security Threat Intelligence lead.
• Play a vital part of the emergency response arrangements.
• Some on call working may be required.
• Document and update required change management outputs to allow changes.
• Onboarding / allow / deny listing of assets into all cyber security tooling. • Act as a cyber security SME for cyber security tooling delivery from concept to production.
• Manage, test and validate detection capabilities in place within pre-production > production to ensure alignment with requirements (Blue Team).
• Manage, test and validate cyber security tooling following updates, configuration changes and implementation.
• Managing and configuring integration where required across all cyber security tooling for new capabilities / features.
• Managing / updating / implementing all processes in relation to the aforementioned activities.

To thrive in the role you will need:

• Qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline
• Demonstrable experience in analysis and handling of network security related events.
• Experience of Open Source Computer security tools (Vulnerability Assessment, Anti-virus, Protocol Analysis, Exploitation frameworks, IDS / IPS)
• Ability to achieve DV and NPPV Clearance.

You may also have:

• A professional Subject Alternate Name certificate.
• A CISSP or other relevant certifications.
• Good problem solving skills and a questioning attitude
• Good interpersonal and communication skills across all levels with proven ability of dealing with stakeholders.
• Self-motivated and can demonstrate high levels of resilience, honesty and integrity.
