We are looking to recruit Relief Support Workers to join our dedicated team in Truro.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role. This is due to the public transport in the area not being suitable for the shift patterns.

For some people, other commitments make it difficult to commit to a full or part time Support Worker position – that’s where the Relief Support Worker role comes in! It gives you the flexibility to choose the shifts you want to do, based on the needs of the service.

The people we support have high support levels, as a Relief Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will enormously contribute to the people within the service, living a more comfortable and happy life.

Shift patterns include 07.00 – 14.00, 14.00 – 21.00 and/or long days as well as waking nights from 21.00 – 07.00 or 08.00 – being a Relief Support Worker means you can cover the shifts that most suit you!

What does a Support Worker do?

The people at our residential care home have higher needs and therefore more support. They have various learning disabilities, dementia, visual impairments and other complex healthcare requirements.

Day to day tasks will include, assisting the people we support to be as independent as possible yet providing encouragement with household chores, cooking, grocery shopping and understanding their finances. Personal care and medication administering are a daily occurrence so you must be comfortable with this.

This is the perfect opportunity if you are looking for a friendly and energetic environment to work in. The best thing is anyone can do it, as long as you have positive mindset and attentive at all times. Full training will be provided.
