We are looking to recruit passionate Relief Support Workers to join our dedicated team of Support Workers in the Retford Area.
Do you want to make a positive difference to people’s lives? For some people, Support Work is something they’d love to do but life makes it difficult to commit to a full or part time position. That’s where the role of a Relief Support Worker comes in! It gives you the flexibility to choose the shifts you want to work, based on your availability and the needs of the service.
As a Relief Support Worker, flexibility is key for both yourself and for the Service, as you may be required to work a variety of different shifts. You will have the ability to work flexibly across the weekdays, weekends and bank holidays depending on your availability and the hours being offered to you. Shifts vary including mornings, afternoons, evenings, sleep ins and waking nights. Flexibility is therefore essential for us to be able to meet the needs of the people we support.
The role of a Relief Support Worker can be challenging at times, so it is essential to have a positive mind-set with a desire to improve the lives of those with a learning disability. You will need to be quick thinking with a positive can-do attitude.
This role will be supporting three young gentlemen living in a Supported Living bungalow. They all have varying support needs and different learning disabilities. Some of the people we support may need some extra support with personal care as well as support with medication, finances and daily living tasks. The gentlemen like to do what we can for ourselves and need support to continue building upon these skills.
The gentlemen all enjoy being out and about in the community regularly as they have a busy schedule! Their interests vary but include drives out in their cars, swimming, bowling, trips to the seaside as well as listening to music and spending time shopping!
The people we support all have cars that they useregularly so we are ideally looking for applications from individuals who hold a full, clean driving licence but this is not essential.
For more information about this Service, please take time to read through the attached profile information.
