Within the Group, Wates Smartspace is a national property services provider, delivering high-quality fit out, refurbishment and property upkeep projects.

In 2019 and 2020 we delivered 1300 projects across the UK for both public and private sector customers. These were a range of logistically challenging ‘CAT A’ (basic landlord fitout) and ‘CAT B’ (style, fittings etc) fitouts; extensions; structural alterations and critical resilience projects, often with our people working as an unobtrusive presence within live operational environments.

We have a rare opportunity for a Proposals Advisor to join our Smartspace Bid team. The primary focus of this role will be to fully support the team who manage the project bid process to ensure that a properly considered and co-ordinated bid can be presented for adjudication.

Key Accountabilities will include:

Production of high quality documents which include the completion of PQQs, ITTs and approved contractor questionnaires

Writing and developing compelling PQQ and bid material and maintaining a stock database of responses

Research material and information to compile responses for PQQs and bid, including interviewing team members to gather technical information

Management and coordination of all proposals tasks for each PQQ and tender from inception to completion

Communicating requirements, deadlines and expectations to the wider bid and supporting teams

We are looking for you to have worked in a similar role in a Bid Team, knowledge of the industry is ideal but not essential. Knowledge of Adobe CS, InDesign, Photoshop is preferable but not essential.

To be successful in the role you will be highly organised with a good attention to detail and excellent written skills. You will be a team player who is naturally creative and passionate about design trends and digital techniques, able to develop innovative ideas from initial project brief to final completion.
