We have a new PA opportunity to join the team at Edinburgh Napier University, Scotland’s #1 Modern University. The role will cover a period of maternity leave (likely to be up to 12 months). The PA will support the Director of People and Services and leadership team providing administrative and secretarial support.

This crucial PA role will provide confidential PA and administration to the Director of People and Services, undertaking a range of duties including proactively managing the Director’s diary, effective record keeping, scheduling and servicing of meetings, arranging travel. The role may also provide an administrative service to the wider leadership team including managing diaries and arranging meetings, ensuring the appropriate paperwork is in place. The PA will liaise with a range of stakeholders including senior figures from external institutions as well as senior leaders across the university.
This role will be based at our Sighthill campus with working from home being required during the transition back to campus life.
Who we’re looking for
You will be experienced in balancing competing demands and priorities and supporting more than one senior executive. You will ideally will have demonstrable PA experience from within a busy office environment. Experience within the higher education sector would be beneficial but is not essential. Qualified with an HND or equivalent, you will be able to work within a fast paced environment managing and organising your workload as appropriate. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to build stakeholder relationships across the University providing a professional support service.
