What you will be doing:

You will work together with the Operations Executive Performance Manager in the successful management and smooth running of the monthly Operations Performance Meeting and onward executive reporting processes. These activities underpin effective governance and control for both the Operations division and Thames Water overall. The role sits as part of the Operations Data, Capacity & Insight team which is part of the Operations Service Centre.

You will act as a point of contact for all Executive Performance Reporting topics, working with data providers and the Operations Lead Team to ensure smooth running – with both time deadlines and quality standards being consistently met. You will also work across a matrix team of c. 20-30 individuals across Thames Water to ensure consistency and alignment of reporting, leading to smooth running of the monthly processes. This will include assisting with the transition periods as we step between the years in each AMP and also between AMP periods.

In addition to supporting the required delivery rhythm, you will have the ability to identify improvement opportunities and manage these through to delivery. Other typical tasks may include building logic, development of reporting, automation of data processes (or rebuilding them to be more efficient) and ad hoc analysis, insight and risk management. You will also need to successfully navigate times when there is ambiguity and/or managing conflicting requirements from stakeholders.

We’re looking for you to:

Have self-motivation, drive and pragmatism – these are critical, as is a proven track record of successfully working with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation and smooth delivery of reporting cycles that are auditable/regulator related. 

Have a background in managing data and reporting – leading to a keen eye for detail, will be a significant plus, as will previous experience and a broad understanding of working within the Water Industry. 

Have an existing level of technical competence – with a proven track record of quickly adapting to technical challenges would also be significantly advantageous.
