Current Team Information
The role is for a graduate to join the market leading office and industrial agency team located in Leeds – this comprises of 2 Office agency Directors, an industrial agency Director and an Associate. The team specialises in office and industrial agency, acting for both landlords, developers and occupiers. The core client base includes institutional funds as well as private investor clients. Collaboration between a variety of departments within the Leeds office, as well as London and our regional offices is fundamental. The successful candidate will gain a full understanding of the agency business, build up a working knowledge of the wider commercial Yorkshire property market and work with other professionals in the region both internally within Savills and externally. The role is to assist fee earners as well as develop their own identity within the Commercial team and wider Yorkshire market. Day to day tasks will involve viewings, report writing, developing marketing strategies ,regular contact with both occupiers seeking space and talking to clients , attending client meetings as well as database management, market research and a variety of other tasks associated with commercial agency.
The Role & Key Responsibilities
This is a rotating position based in the Office Agency and Industrial Agency teams which requires high levels of self-motivation and drive as well as technical competence to service a significant and diverse client base. This role would be best suited to an outgoing graduate cognate or non-cognate, or someone seeking a change in career direction, with drive, passion ,enthusiasm and a strong work ethic . The candidate will be able to register for their APC and shall be part of Savills’ dedicated graduate programme. This provides strong support and a peer network across offices, as well as being allocated a Supervisor and Counsellor within the Leeds office. Competencies outside of Agency shall be provided to the candidate in order to satisfy the requirements of the APC.
In addition the candidate will have the opportunity to undertake some work with the professional team, including rent reviews, lease renewals and valuations, with the primary focus to ensure all competencies are met to pass the APC process. We are looking for someone who has the capability to manage a varied workload both in terms of instructions and working alongside multiple surveyors. The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, confident, commercially focused, and enjoy new challenges. The successful candidate will be encouraged to cultivate connections both internally and externally and will be provided with business development opportunities.
