About the opportunity:  

Jacobs’ industry-leading Flood Modeller software is used throughout the world by engineers, scientists and others involved in environmental and infrastructure management and development. It provides users with a flexible and cost-effective range of tools for proactive decision-making to help manage our environment and the challenges associated with flood risk.

Are you looking to start or develop your career in marketing? Have you got creativity and organisational skills that could be applied across a whole spectrum of online and offline marketing activities?

Due to the continued success of Jacobs’ industry-leading Flood Modeller software, we are seeking a motivated and results-oriented individual who is looking to start their career within a B2B software environment. 

Your goal will be to increase brand awareness and drive lead generation and sales conversion. The role will be hands-on and about execution, in a fast-paced environment with opportunity to shape the role. You will utilise industry standard tools, including Salesforce, Pardot, Adobe Creative Cloud and many others, to help deliver our ambitious growth strategy utilising various marketing channels. You will be part of our marketing team and will also collaborate with our software development and client support teams.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Write insightful technical copy, collateral and literature for both online and print 
  • Maintain our online presence and SEO using Content Management Systems 
  • Develop engaging social media content for scheduling 
  • Produce email marketing campaigns to communicate key messages to our client base 
  • Use Marketing Automation tools to develop customer journeys
  • Maintain a library of relevant content, including, case studies, factsheets and client testimonials 
  • Organise and attend industry events (including sourcing of venues, merchandise, suppliers, etc) 
  • Develop PPC campaigns to drive lead generation and web traffic
  • Ensure day-to-day content is branded appropriately and consistently
  • Support the leadership and wider management team with day-to-day marketing activities

  • English GCSE, ideally A-level 
  • Tech savvy and willingness to learn how to use digital marketing tools 
  • Resourceful and ability to show initiative 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Desirable: 

  • Relevant marketing or business degree or higher education qualification 
  • Capable of working independently and sometimes remotely to deliver objectives 
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively
