Salary: £ £33,797 – £38,017 Pro rata

The School of Art, Design and Performance is seeking to appoint a highly motivated, well-organised and experience tutor to the role of Lecturer in Special Effects Make-Up.
Buckinghamshire New University delivers a range of industry-facing courses aligned to the fast-growing film and creative industries, between our bases at High Wycombe and Pinewood Studios. Our BA Hair and Make-Up course is a two-year accelerated programme that provides industry-standard practical delivery and promotes theoretical and critical thinking aiming at preparing our students to meet the challenge of working in this competitive but rewarding field and producing informed and employable graduates . We are looking to appoint an outstanding candidate with HE experience, and who possesses subject knowledge within the broad field of special effects make-up and prosthetics for the film, performance and creative industries. The appointee will be responsible for ensuring the enhancement and informed relevancy of the course to applied industry needs, towards an excellent student experience.
As Lecturer, the appointee will support the academic development of the subject and organisation required to ensure successful delivery. Industry experience and suitable networks in industry are vital to this role, as is practical and technical knowledge of this specialist field of practice.
