Is this the role for you?

As a Junior Designer for ViacomCBS’ London-based Digital Team, your responsibilities will include design support for a diverse range of projects and social content creation for the company’s Youth & Entertainment channels.

What will you be doing?

  • Bringing editorial to life through the creation and implementation of engaging graphics on social
  • Working closely with publishing, shows and production teams to develop first class visual content cross-platform and cross-brand.
  • Creating daily visual content for social platforms such as Instagram, Instagram Stories, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.
  • Supporting wider creative team with any larger digital, editorial, social, motion, branded content, or commercial design briefs
  • Ensure work consistently answers the brief in terms of look and feel, accuracy, functionality and brand identity.
  • Contribute to weekly brainstorm meetings. You are somebody who is bursting with innovative ideas.
  • Juggling a wide variety of projects, with timelines from the immediate to the long term
  • Producing and delivering best-in-class creative work whilst considering brand, series and departmental needs and feedback
  • Development of still and motion design templates (MOGRTs)
  • Keeping up to date with latest visual trends, pop culture and new technology
  • Delivering graphics in a wide variety of media formats
  • What are we looking for?

  • Exceptional creative ability, design sense and aesthetic judgement
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite including After Effects, with desire to learn Cinema 4D
  • A great teammate with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Ability to take a design from concept to completion.
  • An affinity and familiarity with our brands values and aesthetics (MTV, Comedy Central, BET and Paramount)
  • Some knowledge of usability and interaction design, HTML and CSS
  • Self-motivated and organised, with ability to meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of design trends, youth culture and new technology
  • Thorough understanding of social and digital landscapes and strong editorial awareness
  • Ability to receive creative direction but also creative when approaching briefs from concept to completion.
  • Strong communication skills are essential, as this position requires working closely with writers, producers, editors and rest of the creative team.
  • Proven experience working in a digital design environment as an intern or junior designer.
  • Willingness to learn new hard and soft skills.
