Are you a skilled in IT with a background in IT support and service delivery? We have an exciting opportunity to join one of our customer facing IT support teams.

As an IT Supporter, you will enable the team to provide an exceptional IT service across our Academic and Professional Service area, provide digital solutions within a changing business and technical environment, and to provide the day-to-day support needs of this world-leading research and teaching focussed University.

This role is available on a fixed term basis of up to 6-months.


You will be self-motivated, able to work alone or in a team and have excellent interpersonal and IT skills. Considerable experience in a customer service or IT Support role would be a distinct advantage. You will enjoy challenges and problem solving, and working alongside Faculty colleagues to meet their unique needs. You will have a passion for technology and the way that it can be used within a large, complex and technically-challenging environment.


You will possess a deep understanding of hardware, software, and be familiar with a range of operating systems and systems management tools, and would be looking to develop skills in all facets of IT support, in order to support the diverse teaching and research capability.

An inquisitive nature will help to reach novel solutions required to support cutting-edge research. This post is part a small team dedicated to the provision of IT primarily within research and administrative areas, however you will be expected to work alongside colleagues from other Supporter teams in support of their areas, and to support teaching activities within the Faculty and the wider University as well.
