We help customers to reduce the risks associated with human error and meet regulatory requirements. The team consists of highly skilled and experienced HF specialists/engineers and managers with knowledge of UK and international nuclear safety standards and guidance British Standards, ISO, IAEA, NUREG. The team is also highly familiar with the application of ONR’s HF Safety Assessment Principles (SAPs) and we have experience in the development of HF aspects of nuclear safety cases.We are primarily involved in all aspects of the Nuclear life cycle – design, operation and decommissioning for a range of UK and International clients.The majority of the work is conducted through the home office location in Knutsford but the team has a flexible arrangement with regards to working from home and attending the office. Options to travel to client sites and premises (both UK and internationally) is available depending on the projects individuals get involved in.Key Responsibilities include:Key Responsibilities may include the following (level of experience dependent)•Support and contribute to Human Factors analyses and studies in support of nuclear safety cases. This involves liaising with Subject Matter Experts and safety case professionals to obtain the required supporting information, and develop appropriate solutions to support the safety case.•Support and contribute to the development and implementation of Human Factors Integration plans to support multi-disciplinary design projects, working in collaboration with other technical disciplines.•Contribute to the production of high quality technical reports to meet project and client requirements.•Plan and manage own work to meet technical, budget and programme requirements to ensure client satisfaction.•Build and maintain relationships with key clients, including nuclear licence holders and regulators.•Support and contribute to discussions with clients to understand their requirements and contribute to the production of contract proposals or multi-disciplinary project proposals.
Here’s What You’ll Need:
EssentialRelevant undergraduate academic qualification in appropriate field, Ergonomics, Psychology or suitable Engineering degree and additional post-graduate degree, training or experience in Human Factors.
