A great opportunity has become available for an HR Adviser to join our dynamic People team on a 12-month fixed term contract. If you are an HR professional who loves working with people and being a problem solver, then this is a great opportunity for you!
What will I be doing?
As an HR Adviser, you’ll be part of a team supporting the business on a wide range of HR issues. You will work closely with our HR Business Partners and HR Assistants to provide a sound HR generalist service to your business areas.
Day to day, this means working independently and providing advice and guidance to colleagues and people managers, helping to implement policy changes and generally ensuring the smooth running of people matters within our Operational and Engineering directorates.
The role has an employee relations focus, so you can expect your workload to cover case work, such as disciplinary, grievances, maternity, paternity, occupational health referrals and absence management.
What are the requirements?
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience of working in an HR advisory capacity and sound knowledge of employment law, as well as being comfortable engaging with a wealth of people managers throughout the business.
With a CIPD level 5 qualification or equivalent experience, you’ll be a proactive team player, who has excellent interpersonal skills and a good commercial acumen. You’ll be professional at all times, calm under pressure and able to live the organisation’s core values.
The role will be based in Bath at our Operations Centre but will also involve regular travel to our various offices and sites across the Wessex Water region in order to support people managers.
What you’ll get from us?

Please let us know if you require any additional support or adjustments to assist you in starting your journey with Wessex Water.
The appointment of successful applicant/s will also be subject to receiving suitable references and basic (or where job applicable) other criminal disclosure checks. You must also be able to provide proof of your eligibility to work in the UK.
If you have what it takes to join this award-winning business and want to be part of our exciting journey and share in that success
