The Home Ownership & Revenues Unit (HORU) are looking to recruit a HORU officer to help deliver a quality customer-focussed service to customers and service partners, in respect of:
Right to Buy – Coordinating the sale of Council properties under the Right to Buy scheme in accordance with Statutory legislation.
District Heating – Monitoring and managing customer heating accounts of approximately 6000 properties. Which involves billing, monitoring payments / usage, producing statements and dealing with general enquiries
Business Management / Revenues & Collection – Providing a suite of business management services to all housing related teams within the place portfolio. This includes co-ordinating the billing and collection of sundry debts in relation to rechargeable repairs, RTB charges and other housing charges. This involves monitoring and liaising with the Central Debt recovery Team and legal services with regards to the recovery of income.
The successful applicant must have good communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with customers / debtors and service using written, face to face and telephone methods
You will need to demonstrate a good knowledge and experience of using Excel, both using existing spreadsheets and creating new ones to interrogate large amounts of data.
