We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Veterinary Nurse to join our team on a full time, permanent basis (5 day per week plus 1:4 weekend rota). As a practice we endeavour to set high standards and keep up with new developments to give the best possible patient care and excellent service to our clients, with this in mind we have also achieved our Silver Cat Friendly status.
Lynton Vets is situated in Horsell Village, Surrey. One of the most important things to us here at Lynton is our history and local “Village Vet” reputation for providing the highest level of service and value for all our clients. Established over 60 years ago, we are a small animal practice and recently relocated to a brand new, purpose-built hospital. As part of our ongoing commitment to improving our facilities we are continuing to refurb and equip out other two practices based in Bagshot and Addlestone to the same high standard. We are also continually updating and growing our range of equipment.
Across our 3 sites we have a team of 6 Veterinary Surgeons who are supported by a great team of 12 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurse and experienced Receptionists across the group. The Head nurse is responsible for a team of three receptionists, two Veterinary Nurses and one Veterinary Care Assistant and helps with the smooth day to day running of the practice.
Lynton Veterinary Group has a friendly team and we are looking for a forward-thinking confident team player who has great leadership and organisation skills. You will be able to use your own initiative and be happy to delegate where required, but also muck in with the team. You also need to be able to make decisions effectively and manage staff appropriately, bringing out the best in them and drive the practice forward with respect to the nursing team. Previous experience in a Head nurse role would be beneficial, but not essential.
