We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Head Registered Veterinary Nurse, with leadership skills, to join our team on a full time basis. Duties will include managing our nursing team to ensure that we all work to practice standards, working with the Clinical Director and the veterinary team to ensure we continue to provide an outstanding and award-winning level of client and patient care. Part of the role will also include coaching and supporting our trainee nurses at the practice. The position is 5 days a week, with no on call and maybe 1 in 4 Saturday mornings. Salary range is £22,500, £26,000.
Powderham Veterinary Group is a dedicated RCVS Accredited Small Animal Practice in Devon. We aim to make full use of and develop staff skills within an open and trusting environment and to encourage education for our team members as well as clients. We are small, close knit team of 3 Vets, 5 RVNs, 1 SVN and a strong supportive reception team. We are based in a beautiful part of the country, set between the moors and the sea.
The successful candidate will either have previous experience of being a Head Nurse or be an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse who has an interest in management and is looking for the next step in progressing their career. It is essential to have excellent communication skills while being supportive, assertive, and positive. Previous experience in a similar role would be desired but not essential as we are able to offer training and support for the right candidate.
