We are looking to recruit an inspirational, practice focused and passionate Head of Service – Advice, Support and Help to join our amazing Children’s Services and help play a central role in achieving positive outcomes for children in Wandsworth!

About the team

You will be joining a friendly and engaging team that is committed to keeping families together by working closely with colleagues and partners in respectful and appreciative ways to help find families strengths to deliver the best possible outcomes for children in the borough.

About the role

It’s a role where you will have responsibility for the strategic leadership and effective delivery of Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) and Referral & Assessments (RAS) services for children and families.

You will be responsible for supporting the Deputy Director in their strategic oversight of our work with partners across the Division and partnership. The post holder will ensure that that consistent, high quality practice is embedded in for children and young people across the Division.

The successful candidate will also ensure effective performance management of the service to ensure improved outcomes for children and young people. The intention is to develop and lead the service to become a best practice example of innovative work with children and families.
