You’ll be a true leader to advance our Inclusion and Diversity (I&D) agenda (known internally as TogetherBeyond) across our UK, Europe and Middle East (EMEA) operation.

The role carries the responsibility for the development and implementation of a data driven, metric focused I&D strategy (and associated programme) across EMEA. We need someone who has experience of successfully leading change in this area in a large global organisation. This person will be a strong influencer and leader and have a track record of developing and implementing a strategy with demonstrable results, working with others to achieve objectives through their teams.

The role is broken down into 3 key areas: 

1. TogetherBeyond Strategy and Leadership

  • Strategic global project collaboration as part of our global I&D team to help develop, inform, and lead aspects of the global TogetherBeyond strategy, priorities and plans
  • Leading and developing a team and network of internal I&D Professionals 
  • Develop and implement an aligned and localised strategic and operational plan across Jacobs in EMEA
  • Working with senior stakeholders to ensure relevance to business strategy, coaching senior leaders to embed TogetherBeyond across all threads of our business and Jacobs culture
  • TogetherBeyond Brand development – aligning and developing local narrative, collateral, and partners to position Jacobs’ as a Total Solutions provider and bringing to life our value of ‘We live Inclusion’ 
  • 2. External Jacobs Voice

  • Represent Jacobs with industry partners, peers and clients
  • Engaging with key external stakeholders clients, membership organisations
  • Active participation in Social Economic Inclusion Global Community of practice and UK Social Value group
  • 3. Internal Enablers and Compliance

  • Continual progression of inclusion and diversity policies and initiatives based on feedback from external audits, external trends and industry best practice 
  • Build and manage strong internal relationships, leveraging relationships throughout the organisation including but not limited to Talent Acquisition, Corporate Communications, Employee Networks, Sales, Project Delivery, Social Value, Sustainability, and Innovation Centres of Excellence.
  • Coordinate and deliver reporting and local legislative requirements for external agencies 
  • Develop metrics to track progress and measure the effectiveness of I&D

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of I&D best practice in a global context and employee engagement
  • Extensive leadership experience in strategy creation and implementation
  • Proven people management skills
  • Demonstrate resilience by utilising challenges as opportunities to evolve our I&D strategy
  • Proven track record in delivering positive change in complex organisation
  • Experience of external accreditation and benchmarks
  • Experience of client facing I&D work both in terms of project delivery and the sales process
  • Driving innovation in the business through diverse thinking
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to translate data, research and trends into strategy and execution
  • Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively across multiple teams
  • Understanding and awareness of legislation, diversity and inclusion challenges and best practice in different geographies, as well as the cultural and social nuances between different countries and regions
  • Experience of influencing key stakeholders and decision making. 
  • Personable – Having an awareness of people’s difficulties and helping them overcome these. 
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to connect with wide range of internal and external stakeholders
