Overview

Currie & Brown is currently looking for a head of construction data analytics and technology for our UK and Europe business.

The successful candidate will head up Currie & Brown’s construction data analytics and technology team and provide data analysis, reporting, dashboarding and data visualisation services to colleagues and clients. They will also support the management of digital transformation and technologies to support efficient working practices and the development of new commercial service opportunities.

This is a technical role requiring experience of visualising data with software such as Power BI and Tableau, advanced Excel modelling skills and SQL reporting experience, and expertise in digital technologies to support transformation and development of efficient working practices. Candidates will be expected to engage with colleagues and clients and be highly proficient in drawing out requirements from non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include:

  • Managing and developing the data analytics team
  • Leading digital transformation to improve service delivery efficiencies
  • Working with senior leadership, colleagues and clients to establish areas of focus for reporting, analytics and dashboards
  • Building dashboards and visualisations using a variety of tools
  • Managing data capture and validation
  • Identifying and running different business and model scenarios
  • Analysing model output, producing reports and commentary
  • Supporting colleague and client usage of model outputs for decision-making
  • Preparing formal project progress and other reports
  • Liaising with colleagues and clients
  • Qualifications

    Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in data visualisation with at least two years of construction industry experience
  • Experience in identifying and leading digital transformation to improve efficiency
  • Excellent technical writing, client-facing and communication skills
  • Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute
  • A team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible
