The role

We are seeking to recruit an experienced FE Manager with an Automotive or Construction background to fill an exciting, demanding, post within The Sheffield College.

To be successful you must show us that you understand the sector and also that you have understanding and experience relating to Further Education Funding and Management. You will be passionate about the Industry Sector and the FE Service and be keen to share this passion.

We need someone who will help implement a strategic direction for the Automotive and Construction Crafts Academy through clear operational management. As a Manager your key responsibilities will include: monitoring and managing budgets and resources; staff deployment and Line Management; target setting and outcome review while ensuring a service that delivers to budget and to time. As a Leader you will deliver a successful culture providing outstanding innovative and sustainable provision supported by good communication and positive internal and external relationships.

This leadership role will be demanding and multifaceted, the ability to respond quickly and appropriately in the face of multiple priorities will be required. The overriding priority will be to maintain and improve service standards for students and other learners in a safe, efficient, effective and consistent manner. The aim is to provide a vocationally relevant education and training service that anticipates and meets the needs of the Sheffield City Region within this important industry sector.
