We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled individuals to join the Multi-Agency Support Service (MAST) and make a difference to the lives of vulnerable children and young people in Sheffield. As a Family Intervention Worker, you will work in partnership with families and multi-agency colleagues, to deliver a range of targeted interventions and support, to build on existing strengths within the family and address areas of need. With direction and support from your manager, you will utilise appropriate assessment and evaluation tools, using a strengths-based, approach to develop and inform packages of support for children and families.

As a member of our Multi Agency Support Teams a commitment to whole family, solution focused, integrated working in achieving the best possible outcomes for children, young people and families is essential working with partners such as Education, Health and Police. You must have GCSE in Maths and English (grade A-C) or equivalent and a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in Care. Applicants must have significant experience of working with vulnerable young children and their families including child development, the importance of parental engagement and working with other agencies or in a relevant setting and be skilled at understanding information and assessing risk. Understanding the complexity of relationships in some families and the ability to resolve conflict and work with families to support them with parenting skills.
