ED&I is a key priority for the TRU Programme and we are now looking for someone to bring this to life for us and embed the TRU West ‘Interconnected’ Strategy.

As the ED&I Senior Project Manager you will be accountable for delivering the TRU West ED&I Strategic Workstreams 1 – 4.

You will:

  • Measure : Evidence Based Approach (Data Collection, Analytics and Benchmarking, ED&I Close Call Application Reporting, Monitoring and Mitigation Measures).
  • Recruit : Delivery of Organisational Change Programme relating to Disability Confident and Inclusive Recruitment Framework.
  • Enable : ED&I Training Procurement and Delivery including Integrated Mental Health First Aid Training.
  • Cultivate : Leadership and ongoing coordination of the TRU ED&I Team Forum and communication/intersectionality campaigns. From which we would expect to see, hear and feel a culture of embracing difference.
  • This role is a 12 month FTC.

    Key accountabilities

    You will:

  • Coordinate and support staff engaged in EDI initiatives, providing leadership, coaching and direction to groups and individuals involved.
  • Identify and secure resources and expertise as required to deliver the initiatives.
  • Undertake project planning & documentation (defining project deliverables, success criteria and measures) including escalating issues as required.
  • Lead project meetings and facilitate internal workshops as required.
  • Review, analyse and report any ED&I Close Calls in discussion with Alliance Senior Leadership to initiate non punitive but positive inclusivity actions.
  • Closely monitor initiative progress, performance and quality.
  • Facilitate appropriate communication with all stakeholders to support the development and delivery of the EDI plan and objectives.
  • Work with the communications team to ensure a regular and relevant flow of communication, designed to keep staff informed and promote activity designed to achieve the TRU West EDI aims.
  • Manage information flow on EDI issues and activity with sensitivity, confidentiality and pragmatism.
  • Skills & experience


  • Experience in the delivery of successful outcomes within transformation, improvement or projects.
  • Experience in establishing process and improvements in people, project or operational areas
  • Head office support function, Client side or operational PMO experience.
  • Highly organised and ability to deal with change and complexity.
  • Self-starter with a learning mindset, able to adapt to and prioritise a varying workload.
  • Skilled at stakeholder management and motivating/collaborating in a matrix structure.
  • Management and employee lifecycle experience.
  • Desirable:

  • Project/Change/Process qualification.
  • Experience of delivering Social Value and ED&I initiatives.
  • Experience of resourcing.
